Important information

All our organic mattresses are GOLS and GOTS certified.

Organic mattresses need to be used on an appropriate, strong, supportive slat base which is able to hold the mattress’ and its users’ weight without becoming hollow. Gaps should be around 2 inches wide. Gaps are needed to help the mattress ‘breath’. This applies to all types of organic mattresses.

All our mattresses comply with BS7177 and BS5852, low hazard domestic use and medium hazard hotel use.

Care instructions for our mattresses

Our mattresses are two sided and you can use both sides. The side with the big product sticker attached to the cover is normally the top.

Take extreme care whilst moving the mattress as the latex can tear if grabbed or pulled on corners or edges.

Rotate the mattress from top to bottom and flip it over once every 3 months in the first 2 years. Then once a year, which will ensure even wear and tear and will prolong its lifespan.

You can air the mattress every time you change your bed linen to keep it fresh and dry.

Never use detergents or chemical cleaners on your mattress. This can adversely affect not only the fabrics but also the fillings inside.

The mattress must be kept dry. If there is a risk of accidents with fluids, please use a waterproof mattress protector.

If you spill something on your mattress and it gets wet, wipe the liquid with a cloth, remove the cover and air the mattress core till it is dry. 

Our covers are zip-off removable and washable by hand wash at 20 maximum at 30 degrees. Do not wash the cover at a higher temperature as it may shrink. Do not tumble dry and do not dry clean it.

The mattress can not be used on boarded, closed or not adequately ventilated bed bases or on the floor as the lack of ventilation may lead to mould and mildew build up and invalidates your guarantee. We recommend slatted bases. The gaps between the slats should be between 2 and 4 inches wide.

The mattress is designed for sleeping on and constant sitting on the edge can cause damage and place undue stress on this area of the mattress.

I've recently purchased Extra luxe B, which is one of the firmest mattresses Demko provides, and I am loving it! This mattress is extremely firm, so choose wisely, but that's exactly what I was looking for. The mattress smells lovely (and exactly like what it is supposed to be made of) - like milk tea with a hint of coconut. To be fair, I wish it never fades. The delivery went well, I asked to dispose of my old mattress and was able to do so. The couriers arrived on time and did a great job..

I was looking for a firm coir mattress that would be good for my sensitive back. Having looked through several online options, could not find anything that matches Demko in terms of quality of presentation and well thought firmness options. I also liked the option to change the layers composition. The order process was very convenient and we got the mattress un a couple of days - ExtraLuxe B product. I was a bit hesitant in terms of ordering the mattress without trying, but what I received looked very good in terms of quality of materials and the way it put together. I had some experience of coir mattress before, but this one was clearly superior. Now we are buying the same one for our kid to ensure he grows up without back issues.

I can not say enough about our Demko mattress!! We were skeptical at first, to actually order a mattress "on-line", sight unseen, never getting to lay on it first... Etc!! However, we spent days by comparing companies and their products on-line before going out to do the DREADED task of dealing with mattress sales personnel (although there ARE good ones out there !) and trying to compare "apples to oranges", as each company has there own "series & names". This was so much dreaded, it is now 3 months later, and I have been remiss in writing this review. I finally thought of all the people out there who may be facing a "mattress purchase dilemma" and decided to write this to encourage those folks to take the leap and just buy a Demko online!! You will NOT BE SORRY!!! Here's hoping this review saves other as it did us!!!

I have waited a couple of months before reviewing this mattress so I could really assess it, and I can honestly say it is the best mattress I have ever had. I have had problems with my neck for many years after a car accident, and the pain and stiffness have been so much better since sleeping on this mattress. I have also found it to be excellent at temperature regulation- neither cold nor too hot. The company were extremely helpful and made a bespoke size for our bed at no additional cost. My previous mattress was one of the heavily marketed brands but it failed after 2 years and I now realise was contributing considerably to the neck and shoulder pain I had, and the poor nights’ sleep I was having. I 100% recommended this lovely organic mattress.
